And so the dust to FOM's Dinner N Dance 2005 has finally settled... It was a super fun night and I had many reasons to say so! And I guess, the main reason of it all was that I broke my promise (again) and crossed-dressed as green Tinkerbell (or rather 'Tickle-Balls'). That move, alone, swept lots of people off their feet and took many by surprise. Haha! I just loved the shock looks on their faces! So do you people, I think...

Cross-dressing was not easy, man, and that took lots of guts which I dunno where it came from, esp when the only drag queen of the night was me. Oh well, but who cares since so many people dressed up too for the night! Whee! My table dressed up with the theme Peter Pan & Aladdin and kudos to them for having the guts to play with the game, even though we din win anything... Damn! Mark Sim was Peter Pan, my councillee, Cheryl was Captain Hook and Dennis was the lovable croc! The winning table was taken by Movie Stars, which had Dehan in retro suit, Daniel as Chewbaka, Zhongyang as Harry Potter, Lynn as Cleopatra, Liana as Angelina Jolie, Yau Hong as Rambo and many others. 2nd was Jianhong's table, which had everyone wearing wierdo wigs full of vibrant colours. It was made even funnier when the guys stripped to boxers and the gals wore short skirts! Whoo hoo!

This year's DnD was so much better than last year! There was the lovely door gift sponsored by Prof Lee Chee Wee's Biolyn company. There was better music, thanks to Medicine Idols' contestants who sang their hearts out and there was Dr Vivien Balakhrishnan, one of my many idols! My gosh, Jingxiang's group even cut an MTV with Wee Soon & Ruxin as the on-screen 'couple'! Hot hot! I also cherished the moment when the Med Soc Colours award was given to me proudly by the whacky Med Soc president, Mr Zhentang himself. It does feel good to be recognised afterall!

I only have 1 question for the night... Why on earth did I not win any best-dressed award, be it for guy or for gal?! Grr... Shall not fight about that since the prizes have been given out. But I certainly felt like a movie star, with so many people wanting a glimpse of me in their photos, not being truely aware that this is the Chinese Lunar 7th month. Do not blame me if you see anything strange or even anything else in your photos! Haha! Joking there, but I guess the reason is that no one has seen any male medicine idiot cross-dress for such a formal event like Dinner N Dance and curiosity certainly grovercame them lots. I'm glad I managed to bring many smiles and laughter to the people around me! Thanks Patch Adams, my another idol, for giving me this wonderful idea to entertain people and temporarily 'cure' them emotionally! Hee!

Hope you guys had as much fun! Later that night, I had prata with the gothic people - Jiayang, Vickz Liang, Qingyuan, Goodwin, Jenica, Kai Lyn, Don - and Denise, Jean, Nat Koh & Jeremy Lim @ Bukit Timah. U should have seen the stares that the people were giving to us because the gothic people really looked scary, gave 'diao' looks to people and we certainly looked out of place there... But who cares, the good food and drink was really what we needed before we stormed Jiayang's place for mahjong for the night! His house is really cool and I love his OSIM iSqueeze leg massage machine. Anyone mind buying one for me?

The next day, I finally had a dinner outing with one of my best friends, Kwok Meng, and his mum to a chinese restaurant called 'Yong Chun Yuan' or Spring Court in Chinatown. Yum yum, I always love this kind of dinner cos being the junior, I do not have to pay to eat such lavish stuff, which comes only once in a very blue moon! Caught up with that smart scholar thru the dinner who would be returning to US in Sep to study in Stanford U for his Masters! Kaoz! He's getting his Masters while I'm only in my 2nd year in Medicine in NUS?!?! How fair can life get? A PSC scholar vs a medicine student... Sometimes I wonder which is better... Oh well, life routes have been chosen and I shall persevere with that! Thanks dude and mum for the lovely and yummy mooncakes and dinner!
