Bintan

Photos from recent Bintan trip with Med guys and babes. The sun, sand and sea were great! So good, I got fried like a lobster yet again. Bintan's very expensive and it got to the point where we did not really want to eat or drink in order to conserve money. In the end, the guys ended up playing 3 hrs of volleyball and 3 hrs of water polo just to tie our time. However, tks to Ardy, our new found friend in Mana Mana Water Sports, we found cheap seafood to eat for dinner. Oops, I forgot to tip him and I wonder whether he's angry. I'm sorry, but I really totally forgot about it.

Tonight... Vickz is a happy man! And this happiness shall be owned solely by him only!

21/06/05 - A day that's hard to forget

It's just so wonderful to be receiving 1 good news after another. It does make one delight whole day long and I just wish these moments never stop :)

First, and foremost, finally the ghost of supplementary paper was laid to rest when Chengyu called to tell me I passed! Whee, that has gotta be the greatest news this century. Those midnight oils and days of sluggish mugging while everyone's out holidaying was definitely turmoiling! I sincerely thank all the good friends out in Medicine who helped this poor guy to readjust his seriously-flawed physio concepts!! U have my kowtows!!

Next, MDA called to say Float does not need to apply for external licence if it goes under NUS's name! Yeah!! A big headache would have been resolved there and all plans will be able to go through easily then! Yes yes yes, let's hope NUS gives the nod since they always wanted their floats to hit the streets!

'Hello, the Minister-of-State would like a lunch with you to thank you for your work'
'Sorry, I'm not free today' Wow, I actually got invited by the MOS for lunch for slogging out her work for the past 2 weeks and had the cheek to reject it and push it till next wed. Haha, how often do you get a chance to do that! Well, this is my one-time and I'm gonna cherish it. I wonder which of the restaurants that she frequents are we going for lunch. I hope it is the one at Meritus Mandarin... *Salivates*

Yeah, finally I'm going to 'resign' this coming fri. Got the news today that my work actually got extended by 2 more days to fri before I say bye bye to this friendly little ministry. No more early wake-ups and to hell with the alarm clock! *Tick-Tock Tick-Tock Smasshhhh*

Lastly, I'm going to Bintan this Sun for 3 days and then Taiwan next Sun to holiday. Finally, it's my turn and no one's gonna take it away from me. I've waited much to long to get out of this little red dot to bigger lands around. Here I fly *Whee*

Siew Hor working hard on the article... *Poor thing* Jia You! Posted by Hello

I have an unlikely visitor today in my room right now and his name is Siew Hor. Tonight, this man is gonna be my saviour, a saviour to my mental freedom. For all who dun know Siew Hor, this man is my buddy from Army. In Army, buddy means we do things together, like eat, shit, sleep, bathe, and even going through torture trainings and sabotages together. I used to sleep above him in a double decker bed, although he is much taller, but he feels too insecure about falling off from higher grounds. I got to know him during our Medic course and that was when we found MC, Joo Shiang, Qingyuan, Khai Wei, Ernest from the same platoon and Yee Wei, Howen, Izuan and Victor Lee (oops) from other platoons. Those were the days in Ulu Pandan camp, really ulu camp with a long treacherous slope to kill us for marching. I can clearly remember how the whole platoon got 'knock it down' together with brooms, cloths and pails at 7am during area cleaning because some punks went to wolf whistle at SCGS gals in the bus stop outside the camp. *Kao!*

Oh yes, back to why Siew hor's in my room. Haha, he is hired by me to do a summary assignment of 'Week 7 - International Governance'. This article is 1 of 2 articles that I needed to summarise to earn $15 each. Thanks Toe for recommending another gd way to kill any more brain cells that I have left. Anyway, I was so super stressed out by the work I'm doing for the Minister and Medicine Rag & Flag that I complained lots when he called me only abt 3 hrs ago. Wow, what a friend he was when he offered to help me out with this 50 pg article for free. Yeah! I LOVE SIEW HOR, but only for today. Haha. Joking! Yeap, he's struggling now to put the article into words, and has shifted from my comfy bed to the cold hard floor. Dun worry dudes, I'll treat this guy to a nice little meal worth $15 bucks (I hope! Or y dun I save the $?) and his deed shall long be remembered in my heart...

Jia You Siew Hor... We need to submit this in 2 hrs time!!

Whiny mood

Oh man, Oh man! I'm rotting away in Mrs Yu-Foo Yee Shoon's office... I'm only tasked to find contact numbers of 5 people this morning. FULLSTOP! Otherwise, I've been doing nothing the whole morning long except to surf the internet, like NOW!, and I feel so useless... And it so darn cold in here, no, make that freezing! Gosh, y am I complaining when I'm paid to rot in a cold air-con minister's office? Am I finding life to easy for myself after a strenous and terrifying Physio Supp paper?
